Double win for Inland Homes' unique development: Randalls

2022 First Time Buyer Readers' Awards

Buckinghamshire-based developer Inland Homes received two awards at the 2022 First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards on Friday 2nd September 2022. Inland Homes’ unique converted department store development, Randalls in Uxbridge, secured Best Show Home and Best Medium Development. Inland’s great success at this year’s awards further solidifies their reputation as one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, renowned for delivering contemporary new homes designed to meet the needs of the modern homebuyer. Currently creating new communities across the breadth of Southern England, Inland Homes provide ideal new homes for first-time buyers.

The First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards are some of the most acclaimed in the industry. From housebuilders and housing associations to legal companies, these prestigious awards are now in their 13th year, and their existence ensures that the best in the business are recognised and rewarded for their efforts in helping aspirational buyers onto the housing ladder.

Randalls comprises a unique collection of 14 one- and two-bedroom apartments in the converted iconic art deco style building, as well as 41 one- and two-bedroom new build apartments. A local landmark, Randalls is a former family-owned department store, that served the Uxbridge community for 123 years before its closure in 2015. Having survived both World Wars and the Great Depression, the Grade II listed building remains a key feature of the development. Alongside its retail success, the store also featured in a variety of films and television shows, including Victim (1961), Only Fools and Horses (1983) and Endeavour (2014).

Inland Homes has transformed the building and its surroundings into a selection of new build and restored apartments, which were met with great demand and are now all sold. Uniquely designed and set within bold and striking architecture, Gatsby House is the converted original building, offering residents the chance to live in an exciting and individual home in the historic department store. Keen to restore it to its former glory, Inland Homes has kept several original elements that respectfully pay homage to the history of the building. Original features include both the cash desk and signage, as well as the pneumatic tube system, cast iron radiators and the structural columns.

Vicki Noon, Sales & Marketing Director at Inland Homes, comments: “We are thrilled that our iconic development Randalls has received both the Best Show Home and Best Medium Development awards at this year’s First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards. We are so proud to have received this recognition from the readers of First Time Buyer Magazine, as it reflects the love that the residents at Randalls have for their homes. We would like to extend our thanks to the First Time Buyer Magazine and their readers for their support. Although homes at Randalls are now sold out, we have a range of other homes suitable for first time buyers across the UK and encourage all interested parties to get in touch.”
