On Saturday 14th September, the very first Southampton New Homes Event took place, giving guests exclusive access to all the information they need to know about buying a new home in Southampton, all under one roof. The unique event, delivered by award-winning housebuilder Inland Homes, was a huge success, with great feedback from those that attended. Supported by Southampton City Council and hosted at Inland Homes' Chapel Riverside development, the popular event offered guests a range of services. These included stalls by property experts, free appointments with financial advisors, and advice from solicitors and Help to Buy experts. One visitor at the event commented: "Having a financial advisor at the event is the main reason we came along today. It is really useful to gain an understanding of the realistic possibilities and potential to purchase a home here at Chapel Riverside."

Perfect for anyone looking to buy, rent or invest in a new build property in Southampton, guests were able to walk through every step of the buying journey. Eager to find her first home, another visitor attended the event with her parents, hopeful to find out more about opportunities for first time buyers. She explained: "I loved the setup of the whole day, and how everything I needed was all in one place. This was the first event that I had heard of that offered the opportunity to gain an insight into every step of buying my first home. Before the event, I was unsure about the criteria for the use of Help to Buy and buying a new build. However, after speaking with a financial advisor I have a strong understanding of the Help to Buy scheme, and how valuable it can be for first time buyers wanting to get on the property ladder."

Exhibitors included specialist new homes independent mortgage advisors and solicitors, Help to Buy South, Go Southampton, Inland Homes and two leading estate agents, Fox & Sons and Savills. A New Home Sales Development Representative at Savills, commented: "This event has been a great insight for buyers in a modern marketplace. With a host of companies in one location, each offering support and advice, the relaxed environment creates the ideal atmosphere to engage with parties key to the buying process."

As well as stalls from a number of property experts, host Inland Homes gave visitors the opportunity to experience first-hand the high quality specification and build of the homes on offer at Chapel Riverside. Vicki Noon, Sales and Marketing Director at Inland Homes, commented: "We are delighted that the first New Homes Event in Southampton has been a success for both visitors and exhibitors.
Southampton is a city with much to offer its residents, and it has been fantastic to see guests experiencing this first hand. Equally, it has been a great opportunity for our exhibitors to network, and we are proud to have played a part in bringing this brand new event to Southampton."

The two show apartments at Chapel Riverside, designed by Artspace, were available to view on the day. The interior designer commented: "The interior design for the one bedroom apartment was influenced by the teal in the Chapel Riverside branding. We designed the apartment to appeal to younger buyers, by keeping it clean cut and using cool tones. We used separate furniture pieces to keep the flow of the open plan layout, whilst still creating separate living areas. It was lovely to see the reaction to the show home, as well as to see feedback from people about what they loved and what they are using for inspiration for their own new home."

The current phase at Chapel Riverside comprises 132 luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments along the Southampton waterside, with many homes benefitting from beautiful waterside views over the River Itchen. Prices start from £200,000. Inland Homes' Southampton development Meridian Waterside is a collection of contemporary one and two bedroom riverside apartments, with each home coming complete with a terrace or balcony. Prices start from £169,000.
