Living the local life at Cheshunt Lakeside

Explore what's on the doorstep at this vibrant new development

Enjoying time in your local neighbourhood has never been so appealing. From leisure opportunities to commuter connections, property buyers are increasingly focused on precisely what they can access without having to drive. This means that neighbourhoods such as Cheshunt Lakeside, where so much is accessible on foot or by public transport, hold major appeal.

Cheshunt Lakeside is being developed by Inland Homes in close consultation with Broxbourne Borough Council and other landowners. The extensive master-planned community will include 1,725 new homes, as well as business space, public landscaped spaces, pocket parks, pedestrian and cycle routes.

All of this comes in addition to the extensive array of local amenities and outdoor spaces already present. Just a two- to three-minute walk from Cheshunt Lakeside, for example, is the 1,000-acre River Lee Country Park. The rolling parkland and mosaic of wetlands are hugely popular with children and families, as well as with walkers, cyclists and wildlife watchers. There’s a natural play area for children and an agility course for dogs, along with disc golf, sailing, white water activities, boat hire and the Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park – fun for visitors of all ages and abilities.

The neighbourhood is also awash with local entrepreneurs, with services ranging from independent coffee shops and family-friendly pubs to oh-so-tasty treats from Sweet Lavender Cakes.

And this is only half the story – for Cheshunt Lakeside is also only a one-minute walk from Cheshunt Rail Station, from which travellers can reach London Liverpool Street via direct train in as little as 28 minutes. This opens up a whole host of entertainment possibilities, from events at The Space and Broadgate Arena to high-end dining at restaurants including The Ivy City Garden and Balls Brothers, as well as shopping at Spitalfields Market.

Such easy access to Liverpool Street also means that Cheshunt Lakeside is an excellent choice for commuters, with those working in the city able to catch a train into work as early as 05:17 on weekdays. For those working late, you can also simply enjoy the wealth of entertainment that London has to offer, return trains run until 00:18.

The work underway at Cheshunt Lakeside will also present a wide variety of employment opportunities over the coming months and years. The completed site will be home to 1,000 jobs, delivering 19,000 sq. metres of commercial space to support start-ups as well as established businesses.

The first homes at Cheshunt Lakeside will be completed ready for summer 2023.* For full details, visit https://cheshuntlakeside.co.uk/ or https://inlandhomes.co.uk/developments/cheshunt-lakeside.
